This in-depth survey and report will assess the overall potential for raising the necessary funds and/or successfully completing a building project based on a scoring system that evaluates survey data from 4 key categories:

 

• Congregational Profile: Identifies membership, years attending, frequency of attendance, age, education, employment, etc.
• Community Comparison: Compares your congregation’s demographics to your community. 
• Growth Summary: Compares newcomers to long-term members.
• Relationship Summary: Shows how well assimilated or cultivated your congregation is. This will affect their desire to participate.

• Mission: Do the members know your mission? Are they supportive?
• Facility: How does the congregation view your current facility? What is their overall level of satisfaction? 
• Communication: How well do you communicate with your congregation?
• Church Finances: Does the congregation have confidence in the way you handle & report your finances?
• Church Leadership: How is the leadership perceived by the congregation? 
• Church Choice: What are the most influential and least influential reasons why families have chosen your church?

• Mission summary: Your mission statement is evaluated and broken down into its primary components. Each component is shown with the corresponding survey variables that help you evaluate mission success.
• Balance summary: Helps determine whether your church has a healthy balance between ministry emphasis.
• Health Evaluation: Survey information is evaluated using The Purpose Driven Church, Natural Church Development, and The 12 Keys to Effective Church Ministry.

• Support Profile: Overall support for the campaign or project and breakdown of support by subgroups within the congregation.
• Perceived Need: How “necessary” the congregation believes the project to be.
• Prevailing Attitudes: The congregation’s overall attitude toward the church’s leadership and the project.
• Readiness Summary: A prioritizing of specific issues or conditions that should be addressed prior to beginning your campaign that will help ensure success.
• Overall Strengths/Concerns: Feedback on church strengths and concerns are summarized for quick reference in planning, including opinions about leadership, worship service, current facility, etc. 
• Financial Potential: In conjunction with this survey report, BGW will serve as a master plan of your funding potential.
