Faith in Action!

The true heart of BGW is found in a program called the Ministry of Construction.  The Ministry of Construction is an organized outreach program coordinated between BGW, the local builder partner and the church or Christian school.  BGW works with each ministry to develop an organizational structure that puts members in the front row seat to see God’s miracles, catch a blessing and bless the subcontractors. This may be the most important part of the building process.

The goal is to show the love of Christ to those that are working to construct the new facility and to serve them throughout the duration of the project.  With hundreds of different subcontractors in your back yard during the construction process, this is a rare opportunity for the congregation to love and serve those who are building your facility.   A building campaign can help take the church body out of its normal circles of fellowship and into “the world.” As you share the vision with your future neighbors, seek donations within the community, work with subcontractors, meet with city planners and prepare your membership for building—you have unique opportunities to touch people's lives. The Ministry of Construction program will change the spiritual lives of those involved.

Throughout the years, we have seen our clients embrace this program and we have developed a wealth of unique ideas and strategies to reach out to subcontractors while they are building the facility.  The Ministry of Construction program is made up of 5 organized teams within the church or school.

Appreciation Team - Building lasting relationships with participants and giving thanks to workers at all opportunities during the construction process.

Holy Graffiti - encourages members and students to become involved by writing Bible scriptures on the steel or concrete of your BGW jobsite. This expression of faith in God and His goodness to us shares your ministry's thankfulness for His provision of the building and the construction crews.  The Bible verses and other spiritual expressions written within this building will be a witness and testimony to the workers on the day of the event. They also have an impact throughout the construction phase and will forever be a part of the building itself!

Children’s ministry - Nothing touches the heart of workers on the job site more than the songs or hand-written thank you cards and signage from the children of your church.

Gifts baskets and giveaways - raffle giveaways of tool sets or other gifts to the workers

Hospitality Team - Sharing Christ through service to workers and by providing regular meals and snacks onsite

“Building God’s Way is all about our relationship with God. Every aspect of the company is based on the building of the walls of Jerusalem by Nehemiah. I am still excited about how we experienced God through our project”.
