EcoWorx Carpet Tile with LokDots Installation

In 2003, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded Shaw the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award, recognizing Shaw for creating EcoWorx. This recyclable backing has less embodied energy than traditional PVC carpet tiles, all the while maintaining equal or greater performance. Shaw is one of few manufacturers to ever receive this distinction.  

EcoWorx has the strongest, most durable backing-- 5x greater tensile strength and 8x greater tear lamination strength than PVC.  It also comes with a lifetime commercial warranty covering edge ravel, zippering, delamination and moisture degradation.  The 24" x 24" tile size allows for large design elements and installation efficiency and the smart packaging allows pallets to fit through standard doorways.  The lightweight design contributes to ease of installation.  

LokDots uses a system of adhesive dots and a lightweight handheld applicator to install EcoWorx carpet tile even in some of the most challenging conditions. The pressure sensitive system requires little to no training, uses as much as 97% less adhesive material (compared to wet adhesive) and allows for virtually immediate occupancy. The odorless, non-toxic adhesive makes it easy to use in occupied spaces. LokDots are also ideal for high moisture environments with up to 12pH, 10 pounds and 95% relative humidity. Tajima’s Lay Flat Modular Plank & Tileis a modular system of planks and tiles that can be loose-layed or installed permanently. LF can be also used as a portable floor system which can be installed and then picked up and reinstalled at another location. It is 5mm thick product which means it can be used alongside most carpet tile without a transition. LF comes with both a smooth back and a ribbed back, ribbed can be loose laid and both smooth and ribbed can be glued down. CorkFlex Flooringis a combination of recycled rubber granulates and natural cork. It is available in 12 beautiful colors and can be produced in an unlimited number of custom colors. Available in 3.5mm thickness in 4’-0” wide rolls; 36” x 36” or 24” x 24” square edge or 6mm thick interlocking tiles.
