Project Excellence

Building God's Way project excellence is found in the team integration from initial design concepts through final construction delivery and product warranties.

Building God's Way designers and architects are highly qualified, but don't seek their own personal statement through your church or school facility. The level of architectural impact is set by the vision, ministry needs and budget determined by your Christian organization. The BGW design philosophy is simple: “We still employ scale, we still employ color, texture and proportions,” says architect partner Don Mahoney, AIA. “All those kinds of things our in our toolkit here, but the purpose is what is different.”

The emphasis of Building God's Way is to support the ministry growth of your church. A balanced design philosophy is critical in order to achieve Godly stewardship in addition to a welcoming, purposeful and God-honoring facility.

Preliminary Design Charette:

Preliminary design begins with an onsite visit to discuss the project scope, clarify your ministry needs and begin basic programming of the site and facility layout. This design charette includes a presentation of the current project direction to your organization membership. The designer then returns to the office to “flesh out” the remaining details of the preliminary design and prepared the phase deliverables.

Value Engineering:

While working on your construction documents, architectural teams work with the internal BGW engineering teams for value engineering of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The result is a well crafted building created by a team with a single focus: finding the correct solution for your facility need. Value engineering continues into the design development phases with the incorporation of efficiencies as submitted by partner subcontractors.

Permitting:

BGW architectural teams work through permitting in cooperation with each client, the BGW builder and any local civil engineers as required within your region. BGW architects have handled permitting in many of the toughest environments in the United States including permitting for projects in Chicago , the urban mid-Atlantic region, many northwestern districts, and throughout the complex states of California and Florida .
