As we think back about BGW projects over the past 10 years – many of them had outstanding focus on the Ministry of Construction. One of our most inspiring clients was Holland Park Church of Christ in Simpsonville, South Carolina. They say they “were immediately drawn to the unique concept of serving and reaching out to the very people who would be working on our construction site.”
We were blessed to be in relationship with them as the completed construction on their 43,100 SF worship center. Here are some examples of their outreach. An anonymous donor presented a $40,000 challenge gift to fund Ministry of Construction; members met the challenge and raised $96,000 for jobsite outreach. They then continued on to scale back on new church programs to make Ministry of Construction a focus for all members. This vision casting brought more than 100 additional volunteers to serve on the jobsite.
